Tom Yost has lived all things First Tee Four Corners since its inception back in 2002. He got his start in the game of golf at age 11, when he began caddying and playing. He is from Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to New Mexico in 2000 after graduating from New Mexico State University. He is a PGA Member since 1997 and has been teaching and coaching all his life.
Back in 2002, he helped bring a chapter of the First Tee to northwest New Mexico and started programming in 2005. He loved the concept of teaching life skills and character values through golf and has instilled his passion for the game to pass along to future generations. He is now the Director of Programs and is passionate about growing the game of golf to the entire region.
The lifelong relationships that he builds with the families is absolutely his favorite part of working with First Tee. He feels like he is a part of a huge community that keeps growing.
Fun Fact: Coach Yost is a huge fan of the band, Phish and has seen them 35 times in concert.
